Conference CoordinatorDevelop,
coordinate, and publicize Annual Living With AIDS
Conference. This role requires strong communication
skills, both written and verbal, computer proficiency a must. Time commitment requested: six hours per
month. Grant WritingWrite
funding proposals and letters of inquiry to foundations and corporations on
behalf of Library CoordinatorResponsible for maintaining and building the client
lending library. Stamp, stock and divide books, tapes and
videos into categories on shelves, and update postings on the bulletin board. Solicit donations of new books, tapes and
videos. Good communication and
organizational skills required as well as the ability to be friendly, creative
and reliable. Time commitment requested:
three hours per week. Office AssistanceOffice
volunteers are asked to perform all front office duties including greeting all
visitors to Our Store www.yourthriftalternative.org
We need people to volunteer
in Our Store. Organizing,
folding and sorting clothes, cleaning etc. Time commitment requested: anytime you can
give. Recreation Program CoordinatorDistributing
donated theatre tickets to clients as well as written/phone communication with
the theatres, posting/updating events on the board, procuring new venues of
tickets. Organize annual river trip and
client events (spring fling, bbq bash, holiday party,
etc.). This role requires strong
communication skills, both phone and in person, strong computer proficiency is
required. Time commitment requested:
four hours per week. SecretaryTake
minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors. Prior minute taking experience is
required. This is not a Board of
Directors position. Time commitment
requested: four hours per month. Seminars CoordinatorDevelop, coordinate, and
publicize Seminars. This role requires
strong communication skills, both phone and in person, computer proficiency a
must. Time commitment requested: six
hours per month. Volunteer CoordinatorPublicize
volunteer opportunities. Recruit and
screen volunteers. Maintain volunteer
database. Conduct monthly meetings with
volunteers. Assure timely communication
of program updates and delivery of newly developed materials to
volunteers. This position needs a
take-charge person who is creative and motivated. Candidates must possess good communication
skills, supervisory ability, organizational skills and motivational skills. Constant follow up ability with volunteers is
important. Computer use mandatory –
Excel spreadsheet use helpful. Prior
experience as a volunteer coordinator is helpful. Time commitment requested: six hours per
